About The Artist

Alex is an artist with over ten years of experience. He holds a BA in Fine Arts and Art Sciences from Greece and a Master’s in Visual Game and Media Design from the Royal Danish Academy in Denmark. His background brings together classical training, contemporary design, and independent studio practice.

His personal practice focuses on the male figure, anatomy, portraiture, city spaces, and nature. He is interested in intimate viewpoints, the character of streets and architecture, and the meeting point between landscape and human structure. Working from life and observation, he moves between quick studies and longer, more developed works, using graphite, charcoal, coloured pencil, oil pastel, watercolour, and digital media.

Within this process, quick studies often range from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, serving as a way to capture rhythm, structure, and immediacy before developing more sustained drawings.

Materials

Oil Pastel on Paper

One of the best parts of working with oil pastels on paper is how immediate and expressive the medium feels. You can create rich, vibrant colour with almost no setup or drying time.

Colour Pencil on Paper

One of the best parts of working with coloured pencil on paper is the control and precision it offers. This medium is both delicate and versatile, making it easy to build texture, depth, and detail.

Graphite on Paper

Working with graphite on paper offers simplicity and range from the lightest sketchlines to deep, dramatic shadows, all with a single medium. The tactile process makes graphite both meditative and incredibly expressive.
